Are bees that important to our food supply?

Honeybees are the primary pollinator of many of the foods we eat.  Every third bite of food we take have been produced because of honeybees. At least 90 different crops are dependant on or benefit from the honeybee.  The value that the bees add to agriculture in the US  is estimated to be between $5 to $20 billion dollars.  Without the honeybee, the price that we would pay at the grocery store would increase substantially.  To learn more about pollination, visit the links below.
